Abstract:

Osteoarthritis is a chronic progressive degenerative disease which etiology is unknown. Stem cells produce conditioned media like secretome, extra vesicles (EV), and exoeomes are a substance that have tissue regeneration, immunomodulation, anti-imflammatory, and anti-apoptotic abilities. This substance have change the paradigm of regenerative theraphy from “mesenchymal stem cells” to “medicinal signaling”. Umbilical cord is one of the source of stem cell and its product. This review aims to resume the current update of umbilical cord stem cell produced conditioned media and its relation with osteoarthritis.
